The Hermitage Magazine

The new issue of the Hermitage magazine is focused on unique items fro the collection of the Hermitage magazine - the Bronze Man, gold wire ornaments from the Chinese collection of Catherine the Great, daguerreotype exhibition, Annie Leibovitz, the Yusupov marbles of Antonio Canova, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov's installation "Red Wagon" and many others.

Fondazione Ermitage Italia and its Secretary General Maurizio Cecconi, Michelangelo Antonioni, Sergei Eisenstein, Aleksander Sokurov, Faust, Henry Moore, Maryino, the Hermitage during the siege, Italian locations of Antonio Canova - all these are special places and people of the issue.
'Memory is a painful pleasure, especially in Russia. But if one is to speak in all seriousness, we have to differentiate between two hypostases of memory. The first is the most important stimulus in the unification and preservation of family, people, nation...' These words by Mikhail Piotrovsky defined the content and tone of the issue.
