Piotrovsky met with the Assessor for Culture of Turin, Mr. Maurizio Braccialarghe, and the General Secretary of the Hermitage-Italy Foundation, Maurizio Cecconi. An exhibit of items of mediaeval art from the Bazilevsky collection presented by the Hermitage will open on June 6th, 2013, in the Palazzo Madama in Turin. At the end of the fall, an exchange will be held between the two museums: in the Hermitage, as part of the now-traditional series of exhibits entitled Masterpieces from the World’s Museums at the Hermitage, Portrait of a Man by Antonello da Messina will be shown at the Hermitage, while Raphael’s Holy Family (Madonna with Beardless St. Joseph) will be send to Turin. On the occasion of the Hermitage’s 250-year anniversary in the summer of 2014, three concerts by the orchestra, choir and soloists of the Royal Theatre in Turin, headed by the art director of the theatre, Giancarlo Noseda will be held in the Great Courtyard of the Winter Palace. Plans for 2015 call for organizing an exhibit of 16th-20th century French painting, to be displayed in the capital of Piedmont. |
