Davos: The Economics of Culture roundtable

On January 26th, 2013, the last day of the International Economic Forum in Davos, the Director of the State Hermitage Museum, M.B. Piotrovsky, spoke at the Economics of Culture roundtable. He presented the economic aspects of the Great Hermitage project and shared the experience of Russian museums in combining the preservation of monuments with the principles of economic efficiency. The session also included presentations on projects involving the participation of culture in ameliorating the effects of the economic crisis in Italy, the United States and Ghana.
