The stay of the General Director of the State Hermitage Museum, M.B. Piotrovsky, in Amsterdam

On 7 March 2013, the General Director of the State Hermitage Museum, M.B. Piotrovsky conducted negotiations in Amsterdam with representatives of Dutch Museum on exhibits of the bilateral year of Russia and the Netherlands.

Plans call for exhibits like Corporate Unity: the Golden Age Dutch Group Portrait; Willem II and Anna Pavlovna; El Lissitsky and Ilya Kabakov, etc. to be shown at the Hermitage. Events related to celebrating the 250-year anniversary of the Hermitage were also discussed.

On March 8th, 2013, the doors of the Peter the First: the Great Reformer exhibition opened in the Hermitage Amsterdam Centre.

The Crown Prince of the Netherlands, Willem Alexander, the official patron of the Hermitage-Amsterdam, was present at the opening.
