The stay of the General Director of the State Hermitage Museum, M.B. Piotrovsky in London

On 9 March, 2013 a charitable evening by the Hermitage Foundation in the United Kingdom, dedicated to the 400-year anniversary of the House of Romanov, was held in Lancaster House. The money collected there will be used to support to Hermitage 20/21 Program.

On10 March in London, the General Director of the State Hermitage Museum conducted negotiations on the participation of the Hermitage Foundation in the United Kingdom in the Russia-Great Britain bilateral year and the holding of an exhibit from the collection of Lord Walpole in London, as well as an exhibit of Ce'zanne’s painting “Card players” from the Courtauld Museum and an evening in memory of Benjamin Britten.

At the present, items from the collection of the Hermitage are included in exhibits in the British Museum, the National Gallery and the Courtauld Institute.

Celebratory events for the 250-year anniversary of the founding of the Hermitage in 2014 were also discussed.
