An award for an Hermitage Employee

On March 13th, 2013, Tatiana Alexandrovna Petrova, senior scientific associate of the Department of the History of Russian Culture, holder of a doctorate in art history was awarded to Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts for the creation of the monograph “The Architect A.I Stackenschneider (Saint Petersburg, Publishing House of the State Hermitage Museum, 2012).

Tatiana Alexandrovna has been working at the Hermitage since 1958. Her scientific interests include the history of Russian architecture in the 19th century and Russian photography in the 19th-early 20th century.

Tatiana Alexandrovna is the author of over 50 scholarly works, including several monographs, included the 1978 book dedicated in the Architects of the City series, dedicated to A.I. Stackenschneider.
