State Hermitage Announces Early
Spring Events There is an important difference between the work of applied and decorative art - the silver tombstone (reliquary) on display in the Winter Palace, a harmonious part of the historic and symbolic layout of the Winter Palace collection, which celebrates Russian military triumphs - and the unique religious artifact, the relics of St. Prince Alexander Nevsky, returned to the Church in 1989 from the vaults of the Museum of the History of Religion and Atheism, located in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan. The holy relics of the St. Prince reside in the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in St. Alexander Nevsky Lavra, to the right of the altar. Parts of the relics reside in the Cathedral of Assumption in Vladimir, in the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky in the village of Shurala (Urals Region), and in the Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky in Sofia (Bulgaria). |
