Official Announcement of the State Hermitage

Due to restoration of the Auxiliary House of the Winter Palace in preparation to the 250th anniversary of the Hermitage (Dvortsovaya Naberezhnaya, 30), in order to provide for safety of museum facilities, the State Hermitage in cooperation with the Committee for Protection of Monuments and Landmarks, and other supervisory bodies of St. Petersburg has determined that the accommodation cabins for restoration workers of Baltstroy, the company working on the project, will be located on the embankment of the Winter Canal. From the side of the Winter Canal the cabins will be sheltered by a banner depicting the historical fac,ade of the New Hermitage Building. The embankment will remain open for pedestrians.

The restoration project is expected to be completed in July 2014.
