The meetings of the International Committee ICOM

Scientists from Great Britain, France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Finland, the USA, Canada and Russia took part in the conference. The opening speech of the Director of the State Hermitage Museum Mikhail Piotrovsky was devoted to the collections of the State Hermitage Museum. The reports of the participants of the conference touched upon a wide range of problems concerning the history of collecting in Europe in the 18th century.
