Exhibition of works from collection of G.D. Dushin

On the 16th of October, an exhibition of works from collection of Grigory Diomidovich Dushin (1905 - 1990), Leningrad actor and collector, opened in Menshikov Palace.

There are 295 exhibits in Mr. Dushin's collection delivered to the Hermitage in 1993 as a gift to the Department of History of Russian Culture. They are paintings, drawings, and sculptures, icons, samples of arts and crafts (furniture, goods of stone, porcelain, and glass), as well as documents and photographs.

A scientific illustrated catalogue (published by Slavia) was prepared for the exhibition. T pay tribute to memory of the collector, under the auspices of preparation for the exhibition, Management of the State Hermitage decided to publish the entire collection of Mr. Dushin.
