Student Club Meets

On 25 May, 2002, the Hermitage Student Club gave at 45 Moyka its season's end party for students and club section leaders. The Club founder and curator S.V. Kudryavtseva handed out membership cards to new members.
Students of the French Club headed by L.Ye. Torshina performed a play about the life of the painter Claude Monet whose exhibition was recently showed by our museum. Scenario was written by students themselves; carefully selected costumes excellently conveyed the spirit of the historical epoch.
Members of the Poet/Painter Dialogues section headed by V.Ya. Snegovskaya performed a theatrical fantasia with a plot from the 17th century Dutch art. The performance in historical costumes involved the audience; it was enthusiastically met by the public and ushered in the informal part of the gathering.
