Exposition 'The Golden Horde: History and Culture'
On 7 December 2007 as part of the Hermitage Days 2007 the State
Hermitage Museum opened a new permanent exposition dedicated to
the history and culture of the remarkable state which arose in the
1240s based on Turkic ethnicity in the steppes between the Irtysh
River and the Danube.

Exposition 'Moshchevaya Balka: A Monument to the North Caucasian
Silk Road'
On 7 December 2007, as part of the Hermitage Days 2007 at the State
Hermitage Museum a new permanent exposition was opened featuring
an unusual archaeological find - the Moshchevaya Balka burial ground
(8th-9th century), which is located high in the north-west of Caucasian
Mountains.
