A tablet from a resthouse, where couriers travelling with messages of rulers would stop on their way from city to city: a report on giving standard food rations to couriers

Translation:

  1. 5 liters of beer, 3 liters of bread broth, 3/60 liters of onions, 3/60 liters of oil, 2/60 liters of alkali plant
  2. (for) Ipkusha.
  3. 5 liters of beer, 3 liters of bread broth, 3/60 liters of onions, 3/60 liters of oil, 2/60 liters of alkali plant
  4. (for) Urshulpae.
  5. 5 liters of beer, 3 liters of bread broth, 3/60 liters of onions, 3/60 liters of oil, 2/60 liters of alkali plant
  6. (for) Puzurmama.
  7. 5 liters of beer, 3 liters of bread broth, 3/60 liters of onions, 3/60 liters of oil, 2/60 liters of alkali plant
  8. (for) Ahushuni.
  9. 5 liters of beer, 3 liters of bread broth, 3/60 liters of onions, 3/60 liters of oil, 2/60 liters of alkali plant

  16. 1 vessel of beer extract of “regular” (quality) with a volume of 20 liters, 30 liters of barley flour, 1/2 liters of oil
  17. (for) Erratsilul.
  18. Total: 34 liters of beer (and) 1 vessel of beer extract of “regular” (quality) with a volume of 20 liters.
  19. Total: 21 liter of bread broth (and) 30 liters of barley flour.
  20. Total: 1/3+4/60 liters of onions. Total: 5/6+4/60 liters of oil. Total: 16/60 liters of alkali plant.
  21. Day 11. The month when “The brick was put into the mold” (i.e. the second month of the Umma calendar).
  22. The year after the year after the year when Shusin, the king of Ur built the wall (against) the Amorites (i.e. around 2030 b.c.).
