Mirror with the Russian Imperial Arms and Crown

Silver, mirrored glass; cast, chased, gilded, painted

Provenance: in the possession of the Russian imperial household from the middle of the 18th century; it entered the Hermitage from the collection of Duchess Elena Georgievna of Saxon-Altenburg in 1922.

A two-sided mirror, with gilded frame that is richly decorated with vegetal ornamentation on both sides; the mirror itself rotates on a hinge.
