All eight small bowls intended for desserts with whipped cream in the original make-up of the service have survived intact. It seems that only this deep model (together with the relatively shallow dessert dishes and compotiers) in the intriguing Wedgwood service was decorated with colour landscapes and lacks the green frog. This "polychrome" set matches the service commissioned by Catherine II in all the main details and the question remains unsettled, whether these items formed a separate set or were only a "trial run" preceding work on the Russian Empress's commission.
