The Program tells us about the old tower clock of the Winter Palace, which is the remarkable achievement of clock master A. Gelfer. The clock was ordered by Emperor Nicholas I in 1839. A three-dimensional computer model shows the internal mechanism of the palace clock and the principles underlying the functioning of its main mechanisms. The views are accompanied by texts and are supplemented by photographs and commentaries. A special section is devoted to a brief terminological dictionary. |
