Head of a statue of the Buddha Late 16th-17th centuries Bronze, mother of pearl, traces of gilding Height: 19 cm This head of the Buddha is an example of the fully established "typical" Ayutthaya style. The urná was once marked by an inset precious stone. Stones also originally adorned the fillet fringing the hair. Both of these features are fairly rare in Siamese art.
