Buddha -
"the enlightened one" - an epithet given
to Prince Siddhartha of the Shakya tribe after he attained a state of
boddhi, "Enlightenment", when he grasped the Sublime Wisdom. The
founder of Buddhism, one of the three ancient Indian religions.
