The Buddha is seated on a cushion in the form of a lotus placed on an elongated hexagonal pedestal raised on three "legs". Legs of this sort are not parts of the pedestal but the remnants of casting channels (sprues), specially added to allow the molten wax to flow out.

Lanna - a state in the Far North of present-day Thailand that existed up to the late 18th century. It flourished from the second half of the 13th century to the middle of the 16th.
