18th- and 19th-Century Walking Sticks from the Hermitage Collection
Late 18th century Russia, St Petersburg Length 135.5 and 75.5 cm These two canes are decorated with gold handles embellished with diamonds. The gold surface is covered with enamel bearing, at the top, the monogram of Catherine II - E II beneath a crown. These canes are supposed to have belonged to the Empress.
