This splendid bratina (a sort of loving-cup) whose shape
reproduces metal vessels of the 17th century is particularly notable for
the high quality of workmanship. It was made from clear glass covered
with a golden lustre that causes it to resemble gilded metal. It is ornamented
with high, dense enamel that in design and texture is very close to the
enamels used in combination with filigree in 17th-century pieces.
