This clear crystal carafe embellished with five medallions was produced in the Imperial Glassworks in the 1860s. It is a very rare piece of artistic glassware decorated with diamond cutting and the rare and extremely expensive Zwischengoldglas technique. Flowers are depicted on the walls of the carafe: crown imperial, rose, carnation, dahlia, and, on the stopper, a bouquet of roses.
