The Tula craftsmen achieved a stunning effect using the diamond-cut technique on polished steel. They decorated their pieces with steel beads cut with 12-16 facets. On occasion the size of the individual elements was absolutely minuscule. A surface treated in such a fashion created the illusion of sparkling precious stones. |
