Technique of cloisonné enamel

The technique of cloisonné enamel possibly was introduced to China from Near East. The thin wires were attached according to the pattern on the gold, bronze or metal sheet body. The cloisons were filled in with the coloured enamels, fired, then polished, and the wires were gilded.
