The vessel with the cobalt blue decoration on the high shaped foot was made during the Kangxi reign (1662-1722). The whole body of the vessel and the lid with the flower bud knob is covered with the low relief cartouches in the shape of the flower petals and decorated with the painting of landscapes, flowers, fantastic creatures, stags and swimming ducks. The cobalt blue porcelain was widely spread during the Kangxi reign. Its' characteristic feature was brilliant blue colour beautifully contrasting the white body of the porcelain.
