Technique and decoration

The box and cover are of octagonal form. The whole piece is made of the open work thin silver wire. On the borders and rims the box and cover are decorated with the attached flowers and garlands partly enameled in blue and green colours and gilded. The big branch with pomegranate fruit decorates the top of the cover, and can be used as the handle. The seeds are made in the granulation technique. The net of the filigree as thin as the lace has the design of flowers, leaves or geometric patterns.
