This bell depicting a boy on a sack is one element of
a writing set created in the Russian national style from models by the
noted sculptor Yevgeny Lanceray. The peasant boy holding a shovel is sitting
on a sack of grain. The sculptor's initials can be seen on the side of
the sack.
