This dress was sewn from satin of a fashionable beige
colour and embellished with two overskirts. The first is made of white
chiffon and has an original broad band worked in beads, bugles and strasses
featuring bouquets of roses in pots of two different types displaying
the geometricization of forms characteristic of the late Art Nouveau.
The other, made of black lace, is elongated and runs into a train at the
back. The dress has a harmonious colour scheme. The combination of beige
satin with the white chiffon and black lace of the overskirts is enhanced
by the exquisite tones of the needlework.
