This whistle-trinket shaped as a bird is covered with translucent golden-yellow enamel, the bird's eyes are made of cut diamonds. On each side it has thin gold stripes that represent the bird's wings. Such fanciful toys enjoyed great popularity, they were appropriate gifts especially when the receiver was not supposed to guess their high cost.
