| A magnificently detailed plaster adaptation from a medallion commemorating the victory of the Russian Army over Napoleon. The original (1822) was part of a series of twenty allegorical medallions created by the Russian medal-maker and sculptor Fyodor Tolstoi (1783-1873). The medallion features a Russian warrior dressed in Slavic clothing and a Prussian warrior wearing a knight's armor both rushing towards new victories, leaving the defeated enemy behind. Plaster.
