This plate is modeled on the original produced at the St Petersburg Lomonosov Porcelain Factory in 1923 and decorated in the Suprematist style (known also as Geometric Abstractionism) after a design of Kasimir Malevich. The colored composition in the center of the plate, set within a clear-cut black rectangular frame, is identical to that made by the artist.
