The Hermitage Website

In 2014, for the 250th anniversary of the museum, a reconstruction of the Hermitage’s official website was carried out. The launch of the new information resource was implemented taking account of the latest advances in digital technology. The museum website presents a combination of modern-day technologies and innovative visual approaches. It has a convenient interface that has been adapted for viewing on mobile devices; a structure that is divided up by subject areas and target audiences; an efficient and scalable technological platform based on IBM WebSphere; integration with social networks; an intelligent search system for information and a range of interactive services for users of the website and visitors to the museum.
