Twenty-Seven-Light Church Chandelier

Russia, between 1723 and 1726

One of the most exquisite turned works, this is the largest and most intricate creation of Peter the Great's turnery. Originally intended for the Peter and Paul Cathedral (in the Peter and Paul Fortress), it joined the emperor's memorial collection after his death.
