In the early post-revolutionary period, the factory recruited some of the country’s best creative minds. Over a period of just a few years Pavel Kuznetsov, Alexander Samokhvalov, Vladimir Konashevich, Vladimir Lebedev, Wassily Kandinsky, Nathan Altman, Ivan Alexeyev, Veniamin Belkin and Ivan Puni worked on its premises or else produced designs for porcelain. Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin collaborated with the factory from 1923.
