The exhibition encourages visitors to trace the history of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It focuses on the Russian foreign policy in the West and East during the reign of Alexander III and Nicholas II. Russia’s pursuit of its own interests aimed to achieve stable relations with France in the west , and with the countries of the Far East region in the east. Paintings, works of applied and medallic art bear evidence of these relations.
