Shooting has begun in the museum for the film Hermitage VR. Immersion in History in a “virtual reality 360°” format.
With the use of special glasses, it gives viewers the illusion of being actually present in a real-life setting and allows them to become participants in the events of the film. The tour around the museum will be guided by Konstantin Khabensky, one of Russia’s best-known actors.
The participants in the projects are the State Hermitage, the Super8 studio and the company Videofabrika.
The director of the film is Mikhail Antykov, the creative producer Sergei Zakharov.
The St Petersburg-based designer Ianis Chamalidy has been involved in creating the artistic image of the main character.
The premiere of the new project is scheduled for June 2017 in the General Staff building.
