The Hermitage Theatre hosted a ballet competition for children and young people – Ballerinka Baltic Sea III Saint Petersburg

The competition entrants were pupils of ballet schools for children and young people, choreographic groups, ensembles, theatres and studios.

The young performers taking part in the gala occasion were also given a guided tour around the halls of the Hermitage.

The competition was established by the charitable foundation “Promotion and Revival of Russian Art” (president Ilya Kuznetsov, Honoured Artist of Russia, People’s Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania). The competition jury was made up of People’s Artist of Russia Farukh Ruzimatov; choreographer and ballet historian Olga Rozanova; Honoured Artist of Russia Sofia Gumerova (Lazutkina); and principal dancer of the Mariinsky Theatre Ivan Zaitsev.
