The State Hermitage informs

The editorial staff of Argumenty i Fakty have apologized to the State Hermitage and to Mikhail Piotrovsky personally and removed the interview from their resources. As the publications editor-in-chief stated in his letter, the error occurred as the result of a technical malfunction due to the large influx of news during the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum.

It is worth noting that the appearance of the “interview with the General Director of the Hermitage about the family as Russian citizens’ chief value” provided individual Telegram channels with a further occasion for their customary provocative statements directed at the museum. The real interview with Mikhail Piotrovsky was published in Argumenty i Fakty on 13 June 2024.
