This year Russia’s Day of Knowledge falls on a Sunday and that is a good reason to spend it in the Hermitage.
On 1 September 2024, school pupils, students, officer cadets, post-graduate students, interns and registrar doctors can visit the Hermitage free of charge. This offer applies to those attending Russian educational institutions of all kinds.
The free-of-charge tickets will give access to all the permanent displays and exhibitions in the Main Museum Complex. Tickets can be obtained in advance through the website tickets.hermitagemuseum.org or from the ticket offices on the day.
Visitors should bring ID and a document confirming that they belong to the concessionary category shown on the ticket.
We remind readers that students and children under 18 can visit the Main Museum Complex free of charge (with the appropriate ticket) every third Thursday of the month. For children under 14, free-of-charge tickets are available on any day when the Hermitage is open..
