A guided tour of the Gold Rooms provides the opportunity to view a unique collection of the gold of the Scythian rulers, works of Ancient Greek craftsmen astonishing for both their beauty and technical mastery, and the “Siberian Collection” of Peter the Great. Here you can admire treasures from the lands of the Orient. Those include former possessions of the Great Mughals richly embellished with precious stones that Nadir Shar, ruler of Iran, presented to the Russian court, Chinese filigree adornments and splendid examples of ceremonial weapons.
After the tour finishes, ticket-holders are free to independently explore the displays in the Main Museum Complex.
We recommend arriving at the meeting point for tour groups 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Those who arrive late for the tour will NOT be allowed into the Gold Rooms but can view the museum displays accessible to ticket-holders independently.
Please note that, irrespective of age, to visit the Gold Rooms all children under 18 must have their own separate electronic ticket that covers guiding services.
From 1 May 2024, the
sale of tickets to the Gold Rooms to Pushkin Card holders is temporarily
suspended.
